چکیده

We present ARM (Adapting to Route-demand and Mobility), a control mechanism that allows any proactive routing protocol to dynamically adapt in a totally distributed manner to changes in node mobility and workload route-demands. Each node independently maintains a mobility metric indicating how fast its neighborhood is currently changing, and a route-demand metric indicating which destinations are currently involved in data forwarding. Control functions use these metrics to dynamically adjust the period and the content of routing updates. We apply ARM to the DSDV protocol, coming up with ARM-DSDV. For various mobility and workload scenarios, ARM-DSDV typically achieves the same data delivery as DSDV with update period optimized for the scenario, while saving up to 60% in routing cost. Lower cost gives data traac more available bandwidth.

Network Parameters Evaluation in Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) Routing Protocols for Efficient Message Delivery in City Environment

Abstract- Efficient message delivery in city environment is required to ensure driver’s safety and passenger’s comfortability. In cities of developed nations, routing of data in vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET) faces many challenges such as radio obstacles, mobility constraints and uneven nodes distribution. These factors primarily makes communication between vehicles complex. To overcome and t...

Multipath Node-Disjoint Routing with Backup List Based on the AODV Protocol

In recent years, routing has been the most focused area in ad hoc networks research. On-demand routing in particular, is widely developed in bandwidth constrained mobile wireless ad hoc networks because of its effectiveness and efficiency. Most proposed on-demand routing protocols are built and relied on single route for each data session. Whenever there is a link disconnection on the active ro...

Bypass routing: An on-demand local recovery protocol for ad hoc networks

On-demand routing protocols for ad hoc networks reduce the cost of routing in high mobility environments. However, route discovery in on-demand routing is typically performed via network-wide flooding, which consumes a substantial amount of bandwidth. In this paper, we present bypass routing, a local recovery protocol that aims to reduce the frequency of route request floods triggered by broken...
